Explain how RSS works. Look at Web portal pages (Igoogle and MyYahoo).
Bring in Edutopia and Free Tech for Teachers as RSS feeds.
once you have a feed, add it on Igoogle by clicking Add Gadget (left sidebar)
then Add feed or gadget
You can get RSS feed links by clicking the orange RSS button
and then the relevant feed button.
Open Itunes. Have teachers download a session of a podcast.
Show how to subscribe.
View an RSS feed in Igoogle and Google Reader.
3) Higher Order Thinking (HOTS/DOK)
Look at web article on HOTS as they apply to technology. HOT blogging Read p.2, then p.6 (only the excerpt at the bottom)
then p. 8-13
Discuss together using our our class **kidblog*(leave a comment on Mr Wonsidler's post and also add your own questions for people to respond to as YOUR OWN POST!

help teachers choose one that best suits their needs.

Wiki—collaborative, creative space for student learning ON A TOPIC
Identify 1 Subject area in which to use a blog or wiki;

Choose a curriculum-driven project which could be enhanced with student use of a wiki or glog
